What phone models are compatible with Cape?

Cape works with any unlocked phone that supports eSIMs. If your current device isn’t eSIM-compatible, we offer several phone models that are fully compatible with Cape phone service.

Why would I buy a phone from Cape instead of using my own?

If your current phone isn’t eSIM-compatible, we offer a way to get started with Cape and save money:

When you buy a phone from us, you get $500 off your Cape phone bill over 6 months.

That means instead of paying $99/month, you’ll only pay $15/month for your phone plan during that period.

It’s our way of making it easier to switch to private and secure mobile service—especially for people whose phones aren’t compatible out of the box.

Additionally, we offer Pixel 9 Pros pre-loaded with GrapheneOS, so you don't have to go through the trouble of installing it yourself.

What is your return policy?

You can return your phone within 7 days of delivery if you're unsatisfied.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The phone must be unused (for GrapheneOS phones, this means not set up or configured after receiving).
  • It must be returned in the original packaging with all accessories.
  • Return shipping is not covered

What information do you collect when I purchase a phone through Cape?

In order to ship your device, we have to collect:

  • A name
  • A shipping address
  • Billing information

We do not associate this information with your Cape account. We keep this data for 180 days in order to prevent fraud, then delete it permanently from our systems.

Can I keep my current phone number?

Yes. After you receive your phone, you can either set up and activate your new Cape line within the app or on our website at cape.co/get-cape. You will be given the option to port in your existing phone number, or get a new number with Cape.

Is the phone locked to Cape?

No. All phones sold by Cape are unlocked and can be used with other carriers.

How long will it take to receive my phone?

Orders typically ship within 1-3 business days. Shipping times vary by location, but we aim to have phone delivered within 1 week.

Can I still get the Proton $1 for 6 months deal if I buy a phone through Cape?
